World Book Night

World Book Night

What is World Book Night?

Not to be confused with World Book Day, World Book Night is celebrated on the 23 April and is an opportunity to unwind, relax and forget the stresses of everyday life. Set up by the Reading Agency it was first celebrated in the UK and Ireland in 2011.  World Book Night aims to encourage more adults to pick up a book and read, because in 2021 it was found that only 41% of people read for more than 1 hour in a week 1.
