See our top five tips below:

  1. Create a Spring playlist

Music never fails to motivate. Start by creating a Spring playlist of songs that inspire you or just make you happy. Then listen to your tunes as you get out and about on your fitness adventure! Let the music inspire you to always try a little harder every day.

  1. Get outside

Armed with your Spring playlist take your workout outside and make the most of the long-awaited sunshine! Get out for a walk or a run or even a circuit on the outdoor gym – if your local park has one. If you have a bike, you could even cycle to work.

  1. Get your steps in

Increase the number of steps you take each day – set yourself a goal. This is great way to make you mindful of how long you sit during the day and acts as a reminder to take a break every now and then to move.  You could try adding a lunchtime walk into your routine to boost your total. Invest in a fitness tracker or use a smartphone app to monitor your daily steps and progress towards your goals. Set achievable targets and gradually increase them to challenge yourself and improve your fitness level.

  1. Take a friend

Join up with a friend or get your family involved to help motivate you. Plan active outings or workout sessions together, such as hiking, cycling, or attending a fitness classes. Having someone alongside you keeps you accountable and between you, you can inspire each other to reach your goals.

  1. Gardening

Looking after a garden is good for both body and soul. It can be physically demanding and give your whole body a workout with the added benefit that if you grow some veggies, you can have a nutritious feast come harvest time!

Whatever you decide to do choose something that you enjoy and your exercise won’t feel like another chore on your to-do list.
